Chemin du Paradis
Reference track. The perfect place to test the equipment and the runner
My reference track for vertical racing is the Chemin du paradis (the Path to Paradise). This trail is located between Pont du Loup and Gourdon (on the French Riviera). It is less than 2.8km long and a straight climb (not a single meter going down) of +520m.
Can you see the track going from the bottom-right corner up to the village ?
Today I received the new poles from Exel, the Nordic Pro that I’m testing for trail running. To do so I decided to go for a tour on the Lauvet d’Ilonse (2000m) with mixed ground surfaces and inclinations.
I got my hands on the Keen A86TR. Beside the really original look those trail shoes have some to tell. They are both light, provide good grip, relatively comfortable and solid!
I have tested those shoes on snow, grass, rocks and gravel. And I’m pleased. Mud is still to come
Testing the chains from Life Sport
All season running means running in the snow. I have done several runs testing the chains from Life Sport.
